We had a busy time preparing for Christmas in our school. The corridors and classrooms have beautiful decorations and Christmas art work.
Our choir had a busy time. They sang at Wednesday’s mass, Wednesday’s concert, they entertained shoppers in SuperValu and on the square. Thanks to Gearóid for his support and the lovely treats. Thanks to Geraldine for the shelter! They had a special treat in From The Ground Up to end the day. A special thank you to Ms Cooney for all her work.
2nd class had a fabulous play which entertained all the classes on Tuesday and the parents on Wednesday. They were fantastic. Well done Ms Kearins and 2nd Class
3rd class had prepared beautiful songs and poems and were full of excitement. Mile buiochas Ms Flannery and Rang 3.
Thank you to Mr O Hara and Mr Rooney who organised the Christmas Quiz for children in 3rd to 6th classes. It was great fun. There were lots of prizes. Thank you Sean for sorting out a microphone. Thanks to Ms Greene, Ms Cooney, Ms Flannery and Ms Cunningham for your help.
Children in the Junior Classes had a movie and hot chocolate afternoon on Thursday. Thanks you Ms Gordon, Ms Higgins, Ms Coyne.
We had a Christmas art competition and also a competition to show off all we learned at the Planetarium Visit.
Gallagher’s Garden Centre visited our school on Tuesday. Our parents were invited to take part and there were great designs. Thank you to Ms Coleman for organising.
Thank you to Tubbercurry Guards for bringing Santa to see us on Thursday 12th. He was greeted with great excitement.
