First Communion
Dear parents - Please find a note from Fr Gallagher about the proposed new date for First Communion. I know the children have been so patient waiting for this new date. We all hope this day will go ahead soon so you all will have time to celebrate this happy occasion.
We hope that First Communion will be on October 10th. This could change if there are further announcements from the Government or the HSE.
As numbers are limited in the church the class will be split in two groups. You child will get a letter home telling them the time of their First Communion.
Each family is limited to the child for First Communion and 4 other people.
The church will open at 1030 for the 11 o clock communion. Families are asked to be in their seats 10 minutes before mass starts.
The church will close after the mass for sanitisation. It will reopen at 1pm for the 1.30 communion.
Communion will be received in the hand only
Everyone will remain seated during the ceremony
Adults are asked to wear masks in the church
Following the ceremony people are asked to exit the church immediately to allow for sanitisation of the church.
