Internet Safety with Jeremy

On Thursday Jeremy Pagden from Lurtel visited our class to talk about staying safe while using the internet.

Here are some of the things we learned:

"Snapchat steals your information"
"All fre games are dangerous"
"Snapchat is dangerous"
"Even is an extremely rich man that hates girls. He invented an app called Beekaboo. Anyone who has it Even knows EVERYTHING. However Even changed the name and now it's Snapchat but if you go into settings on the app and website and turn off everything you think is personal you are safe. PS Don't accept cookies, turn off in settings"
"Cookies steal your information and to avoid put on anonymous mode on in Fortnight".
"Almost every free app steals and sells your data"
"Dont trust strangers"
"You have to be safe from scammers on the phone"
"Snapchat is stealing your information. It was originally Beekaboo"
"Don't play games that are not in your age group"
"Apps track what you do even if you pay"
"You should make a safe word so if someone tries to pick you up from school or something you can ask for that safe word"
" Some apps steal your data/ information and sell it to other people. Typically free apps do this"
