January Lock Down
We were all disappointed to see the rising numbers of Covid 19 throughout the country. The government have had to take the decision to close schools to try to reduce the spread of this virus. We are all disappointed not to be back to school but we know this decision was made to try to keep us safe.
A reminder that the Government extended the school holidays until January 11th. School was not open for anyone on Thursday and Friday.
All our staff were in school today preparing work and books to be sent home. Texts were sent to all parents with a collection time for Monday and Tuesday.
If you could not collect books on Monday here are the Tuesday collection times:
Junior Infants: 10.30 - 11.00
Senior Infants: 11.30 - 12.00
1st Class: 11.00 - 11.30
2nd Class: 1.00 - 1.30
3rd Class: 12.00 - 12.30
4th Class: 12.30-1.00
5th Class: 1.30- 2.00
6th Class: 2.00 - 2.30
Books can be collected from the front of the school. Please wear a mask and sanitise your hands.
During our last lock-down all classes used Google Classroom. Work and instructions will be posted on Google Classroom for your child's class. All classes were set up on Google Classroom in term 1. If you havent accepted the invitation to join Google Classroom please do.
We know working from home can be stressful for parents and children. Your main aim as a parent is to keep your family safe from this virus. If we all limit our contacts we will hopefully reduce the Covid numbers and then we will all get back to school.
Stay safe and we look forward to seeing you all soon.
