Parenting During the Pandemic - Free Webinar - May 20 at 7.30 pm
Description
Parenting is not easy at the best of times, but the Coronavirus Pandemic has increased the difficulties that most parents and their children face. Life was uncertain enough before lockdowns and restrictions changed the way we all live. For many the old ways of coping do not appear to be practical or even relevant in these difficult times.
Parenting during the Pandemic: Supporting yourselves, explores the challenges that parents themselves face with managing their own lives during the Pandemic. It provides suggestions as to how to manage your own lives both now and in the future.

Mark O’Callaghan is a Clinical Psychologist by profession. He recently retired from the post of Head of HSE Psychology for Sligo, Leitrim, West Cavan. Mark was Chairman of the Sligo Leitrim Youth Mental Health Initiative, established in 2011, as a result of young people’s concerns about the style and lack of services that promote and support positive mental health in Sligo, Leitrim and West Cavan. The initiative aimed to develop an innovative, evidence based approach for organising services and supports to enhance the mental health and well-being of young people and led to the publication of the ‘Mind Your Head’ Report, a study of Youth Mental Health in Sligo Leitrim and West Cavan. Mark previously worked as Professor of Hospital Management (Malta); Chair of Mental Health Reform (Malta) and World Health Organisation 'Management Expert'.
