Visit to Norway

Earlier this month, Ms Brennan and Ms McDonagh, went to visit our Norwegian partner school in Kristiansand in Southern Norway. It is a private Kindergarten catering for children from 6 months to 6 years. Laeringsverkstedet was a real inspiration to all who visited. Our teachers were also joined by teachers from our other partner schools who had travelled from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Spain to attend a training programme on the use of mini-projectors for enhancing delivery of all areas of the curriculum. We will be investing in the purchase of a few mini-projectors for use by our teachers throughout the school.  You will see the many activities that took place in Kristiansand.  Our teachers had a walking tour of the city with the staff of the kindergarten.  They all then attended a training day at the art museum and local university.  They had an art lesson for use with digital projectors and a lesson in animation.  On the final day, which was very wet, the Ms Brennan and Ms McDonagh visited a farm. This was another interesting way of comparing our countries!  Full STEAM Ahead!
